Philip K. Asherman

Position

Philip K. Asherman is President and Chief Executive Officer of CB&I.

Experience

Mr. Asherman has more than 30 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. He began his career in 1979 on a construction site in Wyoming for Shell Oil. He subsequently worked in a variety of project operations and business development positions for Fluor Daniel, and was named an officer in 1987. During his career, Mr. Asherman has served in several senior management positions, including president of Fluor Daniel's mining and minerals operating group and president of an industrial operating group. He held a number of regional executive positions in Europe, South America and Asia. In 2001, he joined CB&I as a senior executive in Amsterdam and was promoted to Executive Vice President that same year, reporting directly to the Chairman and CEO. Mr. Asherman was elected to his current position by the board of directors in February 2006 and was elected to the Supervisory Board of Directors in July 2006. He is a member of the Overseers Board of The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a member of the International Management Advisory Board for Tufts. He is also a member of the American Petroleum Institute and the National Petroleum Council.

Education

Following active duty in the United States Air Force from 1970 -1974, Mr. Asherman graduated with a BA from the University of South Florida. He has completed advanced management programs at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, and the American Graduate School of International Management at the Thunderbird in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Asherman also earned an MA from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.

Ronald A. Ballschmiede

Position

Ronald A. Ballschmiede is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CB&I. He was named to this position in June 2006.

Experience

Mr. Ballschmiede has 30 years of Big 4 accounting firm experience with global manufacturing and construction firms. Prior to joining CB&I, he was with Deloitte & Touche LLP, joining the firm as a partner in 2002. Previously, he had been with Arthur Andersen since 1977, becoming a partner in 1989. While with Andersen, Ballschmiede was the lead client service partner for CB&I from 1989 to 2002.

Education

He holds a BS in Accounting from Northern Illinois University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

E. Chip Ray

Position

E. Chip Ray is Executive Vice President – Corporate Planning for CB&I. He was named to this position in September 2007. He joined the Company in 2003 as Vice President – Global Marketing.

Experience

Mr. Ray has 28 years of experience in strategic planning, international marketing, technical sales, operations and management.  In his current role, he is responsible for Strategy, Marketing, Corporate Investments, Communications, Shareholder Relations and Governmental Affairs.  Prior to joining CB&I, he served as Executive Director of Strategy and Marketing for Fluor Corporation.  Before joining Fluor, he spent 13 years with Nalco Chemical Company.

Education

He holds a BA degree in Chemistry from St. John’s University in Minnesota and an MBA from Duke University.

Lasse Petterson

Position

Lasse Petterson is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He joined the company in February 2009.

Experience

Mr. Petterson has more than 29 years of experience in a broad variety of executive and operations assignments throughout the world. He spent more than 22 years with Aker Kvaerner, and more recently, was President and COO of AMEC Inc USA, before assuming the role as CEO of the world’s largest owner and operator of gantry craned vessels. He brings a proven track record of growth and management of a large and globally diverse workforce in the engineering and construction industry in a variety of international assignments.

Education

He holds an MS and BS from the Norwegian University of Technology and is fluent in three languages.

Daniel M. McCarthy

Position

Daniel M. McCarthy is President – Lummus Technology for CB&I. He was named to this position in December 2008.

Experience

Mr. McCarthy has 33 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. He joined Lummus in 1974 as a process engineer and was involved in the design of first-of-a-kind plants for the pharmaceutical and inorganic chemical industries. After leading a number of design teams on styrenics projects, he moved into a process licensing role. From 1980 to 1990 he held various product and regional (Far East) marketing leadership positions. From 1990 to the present he has held various general management positions in the Lummus Technology business. In 2006 and 2007 he was responsible for the Lummus Houston EPC Execution Center.

Education

He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College. He also earned an MBA from Pace University.

Beth A. Bailey

Position

Beth A. Bailey is Executive Vice President and Chief Administration Officer of CB&I. She was named to the position in December 2008.

Experience

Ms. Bailey joined the Company in 1976 and has progressed through increasingly responsible roles in the IT organization. She was named Vice President – Information Technology in March 1999.

Education

She holds a BS in Business Administration and Management from Elmhurst College in Illinois.

David A. Delman

Position

David A. Delman is CB&I’s Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary. He was named to this position in 2007.

Experience

Mr. Delman has 21 years of legal experience focusing on the EPC industry. He joined CB&I from the law firm of Pepe & Hazard LLC, an international law firm specializing in engineering and construction industry legal issues, where he served as a partner since 2000. Previously, Delman was Associate General Counsel of a major EPC company.
 

Education

He holds a law degree from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from The American University in Washington, D.C.
